Full Moon Flyers

Thinking of what to do for your FAVORITE Valentine? How about going on a flight to dinner under the romance of a Colorado Full Moon?! Join us on a flight to Solo's Restaurant in Colorado Springs on Friday, Feb 18th. We will meet @ 5:45 pm at SFTI so that we depart to KCOS by 6:30. Limited spaces are available so sign up early. If you are not night current, we can help get you current with you prior to this flight or have a SFTI fly with you on this flight. Our back-up weather date will be Sat., Feb 19th @ same time (if needed).

 

KAP140 Autopilot Mini-Groundschool

Master CFI Lonnie Hilkemeier will help you learn and optimize the functions of the King KAP140 Autopilot installed on N370SP and N1090J (as well as every other C172 made between 1998-2009). This class will run from 6:30-8:30 pm on Thursday, March 10th. Bring your questions and get ready to be amazed as to how easy and convenient it really is to use this autopilot. IACRA WINGS Seminar - RESCHEDULED

Chris Rogakis will provide a "live, hands-on" presentation on IACRA (the new FAA Airmen 8710 Application website) on Tuesday, MARCH  8th from 6:30-8:30 pm (new date = MARCH due to WX on Feb date). This will be great for anyone who is near completion of any level pilot certification. This is also a great refresher for CFIs and Pilot Examiners. Are you enrolled in the FAA Safety Program? If not, ask us how you can participate at no charge and substitute for a Flight Review! Register for this class at the Front Desk or on http://faasafety.gov

 

IPC WINGS Seminar

Come enjoy a presentation by Sam McGlamery on Wednesday, Jan 12th from 7-9 pm. He will cover the ground topics necessary to keep your IFR currency. Registration is available at the Front Desk or on http://faasafety.gov Don't have your Instrument Rating yet? Come to this seminar to learn the core topics that will be covered during your training. The Redbird FMX as well as the rest of our fleet is available to complete the flight requirements of your IPC. See you there!

SECOND QUARTER 2010

Boulder Airport Day/SFTI Open House
Come join us on Saturday, June 19th (give Dad what he wants for Father's Day - take him to the airport!) from 9 am - 3 pm at the Boulder Airport for a day of sun and fun! There will be static displays of vintage, World War II and military aircraft. Come learn how many different ways the Boulder Airport benefits the local communities; Boulder Emergency Services vehicles (land and air-based) will be on display, business transportation as well as personal air transportation vendors will be available to answer your questions. There will be opportunities for the kids to build and fly balsa aircraft and/or model rockets. An aerial demonstration of a Chinese MIG will happen around 11:30. All of this is FREE!

Come enjoy flying, fun and FOOD! Of course, ALL of this is WEATHER PERMITTING!

Redbird FMX - Full Motion Flight Simulator

That is right - FULL MOTION! You MUST see this Redbird Full Motion eXperience!

 

SFTI has the ONLY full motion flight simulator in Colorado! In fact, there is nothing like our Redbird FMX within 12 surrounding states! We can set up the Redbird FMX for either a Cessna 172S or 182T. You can LOG flight time towards your Private, Instrument (initial/currency/proficiency), Commercial, or ATP.

 

This Redbird FMX also allows you to practice your G1000 "buttonology", autopilot usage, crosswind takeoffs/landings, crew resource management skills along with any unusual and/or emergency procedures.

8th Anniversary Party
